Assistant Event Coordinator- Julian Events is currently hiring assistant coordinators on a contract basis. Compensation starts at $17 per hour. This is a great role for those starting out in the wedding industry, coordinators looking to gain experience working for other teams, or other industry pros looking to round out their experience. Ideal candidates are fun, professional, willing to learn our processes, and love working behind the scenes. Duties include:

  • Event set-up and clean-up including overseeing arrivals and departures of service partners.

  • Coordination support activities such as helping line up wedding parties, dismissing tables for buffet services, providing guest assistance, and more!

  • Various other event-related tasks as assigned by the lead planner.

Candidates must:

  • Have their own reliable transportation.

  • Maintain their own insurance and accounting practices. This is a contract-based position, you will not be an employee of Julian Events.

Julian Events will:

  • Provide a safe, respectful, and positive work environment.

  • Provide fair compensation including reimbursement of work-related expenses such as parking or mileage when requiring travel outside the KC Metro.

  • Provide clean and functioning job-related equipment such as tablets + radios, and safety equipment such as masks, hand sanitizer, eye + ear protection.

  • Training and mentorship as required or requested.
